Booking Privacy Notice

1. Who Is Responsible for Your Data

The guide whose booking page you are using is the data controller for your booking request. Guide Connect ehf. provides the technical infrastructure as a data processor on the guide's behalf.

2. What Data We Collect

• Your name
• Email address
• Phone number (if provided)
• Company name (if provided)
• Booking details: requested dates, group size, location, activity type, and any additional information you include in your request

3. Why We Collect This Data

Your data is collected solely to process your booking request with the guide. The guide uses this information to evaluate your request, communicate with you about the booking, and arrange the tour if accepted.

4. Legal Basis

The processing is based on your consent, which you provide by checking the consent box on the booking form, and on the necessity of processing to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract with the guide.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

• Your personal data (name, email, phone, company) is automatically deleted 1 year after the tour completion date.
• Operational data (booking dates, group size) may be retained longer for business record-keeping purposes.
• If you withdraw your request before it is accepted, your data is retained for 1 year from the request date.

6. Who Sees Your Data

• The guide whose booking page you used
• Guide Connect staff (for technical support only, when necessary)
• No other parties have access to your booking data

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Restrict or object to processing
• Receive your data in a portable format
